Overview: As a contracted member at Quadmark, I was initially hired to assist with a substantial Google artwork localisation project. Joining a cross-functional team spanning North America and Asia, our objective was to design Google product information sheets tailored to diverse international markets. This required precision in Adobe InDesign and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that each piece of artwork accurately represented the nuances of its respective region.
Result: My contributions played a pivotal role in the project's success, as evidenced by the positive feedback received from stakeholders and the tangible impact on sales teams worldwide. The localised product sheets served as invaluable tools, empowering sales professionals to keep abreast of the latest Google product developments and specifications. The seamless integration of my illustrations into motion design initiatives enhanced the visual storytelling aspect, further amplifying the effectiveness of product demonstrations.
Challenge: My role encompassed multifaceted responsibilities, beginning with the creation of artwork in multiple languages to effectively communicate product information. I collaborated closely with colleagues to edit graphics, ensuring alignment with the specific cultural and linguistic requirements of various global audiences. Additionally, I was entrusted with the task of developing storyboards for the motion design team, serving as the foundation for animated product demonstrations. This expanded role underscored my versatility and proficiency in illustration.
Response: To fulfill the project's diverse demands, I leveraged my expertise in graphic design and illustration to deliver high-quality assets within tight deadlines. Working closely with product managers, I created designs for Slides presentations, emails, and web portals, tailored to promote Google Chromebook, Automotive, and Android products effectively. I also created a suite of character illustrations for Made By Google, demonstrating adaptability and creativity across various design contexts.
